What a strange year 2020 has turned out to be. We're going to try again to get this CITO on the books -- in September!
Where: This year we will meet at the location of one of my geocaches to have a drawing for a few prizes, grab an individually wrapped storebought muffin (to keep the germies away), get trash bags, and score a bottle of water. Then I'll set you loose to clean up my garage trash as you find it around town. I will have a list of locations available at the event that need a quick trash pick-up. This way we can socially distance and still get our CITO on. Speaking of socially distancing, don't none of you come within a pool noodle's length of the CITO host, or I'll put the hurt on you. (Not really, I can't even kick my OWN @$$).
What to bring: Your work or caching gloves, a pointy stick or trash grabbers, and a desire to have fun.
Sad news -- Keep America Beautiful punted on their annual cleanup this year. Well, you still get a muffin! And a trash bag! And......a CHANCE TO WIN A FABULOUS $25 AMAZON GIFT CARD!!! That's better than a poke with a sharp stick, as my dad says. Speaking of sharp sticks, bring one to pick up trash. Did I say that already?
Rain or Rona, we are going to DO THIS! Bring your hand sanitizer and your mask, keep your distance from me and your fellow cachers and let's clean up this garage town! Feel free to deposit your trash bag in my driveway (which is very close to the posted coordinates) when you're done or find the nearest dumpster, or put it in your own trash bin. Your call.
