Geocache Description:

First you will need to go to the posted co-ords that will take you to this bridge. You can park up in the Village Car Park using the coords given below, which is a short distance from the bridge.

You will need to collect some info from the Bridge itself and it's surroundings. You will then need to do some easy maths that will help you obtain the correct coords to find the Final Cache.

At the Bridge, if you count the number of large panels that make up the flooring this will give you A

If you count the number of Public Footpath Signs that are visible to you when standing on the Bridge, this will give you B

If you look left from the Bridge you will find a small concrete stone ground level (beware it could be covered in undergrowth) the number of square shapes on the stone will give you C

Also if you look across from the Bridge you will see a green metal gate that is an entrance to the Church, if you count the number of spikes going across the middle of the gate including the spike on the handle, this will give you D

Last but not least you will need to find the Hemyock Castle Gate which is a very short distance away from the Bridge, if you can't find it just use the Trailhead N 50 54.746 W 003 13.856 If you count the number of full squares within the arch at the top of the Gate and add both digits of your answer together this will give you E

By now you should have all the info that you need!

Here is a Checksum - A+B+C+D+E = 27

The Final Cache can be found at: N 50 (B+C)(B+B).(B)(E+C(A-D)  W 003 (C-B)(D/B).(C-B)(C)(C-B)

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing run by Billiethecat, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here:- https://littlebridgesseries.wordpress.com/ . If you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
