Geocache Description:

17 October 2021, 12:00 - 14:00

Lets celebrate 20 years of caching - despite COVID!

Join us for a couple of hours of fun-filled caching chatter and picnicking on what will hopefully be a lovely summer lunchtime.  We'll be at the above co-ordinates from 12noon - 2pm - bring a picnic, a rug to sit on, and your friends and family!  Look for our caching flag and a collection of travel bugs.  Bring a pen, too, as we're sure you'll want to look for our caches in the park and nearby - and keep your eyes peeled for something new on the day...

Harrow Rec, this year's location, is right in the centre of Harrow, just five minutes' walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill tube and central bus station.  It's popular with footballers in the winter, cricketers in the summer, and walkers and runners all year round.  We'll be in the middle of the park near the playground. There's a public loo and water fountain; a large Morrisons is nearby if you want to stock up or bring any food and drink supplies you want with you.

There is a car park accessed off Roxborough Road (if driving, note that from Harrow View you need to take either Balfour Road or Buckingham Road, as there is no access onto Hindes Road), but as it's quite small and likely to be used by peeps at the park.  The area of the park we're meeting in is flat and while we'll be on the grass, the route from the gates is on tarmac paths.  Note there's an overall slope from the top of the park to the bottom, although it is used by both wheelchairs and pushchairs regularly so should be fully accessible.
