Le statue parlanti di Roma
Per conoscere Roma ci vogliono anni, la città eterna nasconde molti misteri e molti segreti che sono difficili da scoprire. Nonostante ciò, esistono storici e appassionati che ci danno l'opportunità di emozionarci con le belle vicende che la riguardano. Un fatto molto curioso è quello delle statue parlanti nascoste in pieno centro di Roma e che raccontano storie interessanti.
Le statue parlanti, note anche come "Congrega degli Arguti", fornirono alla popolazione romana un modo particolare di esprimere la propria disapprovazione per il potere e la corruzione della Chiesa. Sulle statue o ai loro piedi sono stati collocati versi in satira, volti a criticare i personaggi pubblici più importanti, un'usanza che sembra continuare ancora oggi.
Le statue parlanti sono: Pasquino, Madama Lucrezia, Marforio (che non è presente nel nostro tour perché ora è nel cortile dei Musei Capitolini), il Babuino, il Facchino e l'Abate Luigi.
