This geocache is located at an information kiosk along the Chan SanSan Scenic Backway in LaMoure County, North Dakota. (I am the coordinator for the scenic backway, so I have authority to hide the geocache.) A small log book (scroll) is inside a hollowed out piece of wood that matches the aged cedar of the kiosk. The top of this piece of wood is screwed to one edge of the kiosk, on the side that is least visible from the road. To find the geocache, one must turn the wood piece to the right, until it clears the edge of the kiosk and the back side is visible. Only when it is turned this particular way, can one see the hollowed-out area and be able to remove the log book. Though rain cannot get to this hollowed out area, it is not absolutely waterproof, so I put the log book inside a very small, resealable plastic bag. This geocache is easy to get to, and I would rate it as an easy find, although it will take a little bit of thinking. I want this geocache to be a fun find for children as well as adults.
