SPRING FLING CAMP WOODSMOKE 2020...It's that time...June 26-28... Plan to stay the weekend or come for the day. New to Geocaching??? Or are you an "ol hand"??? This is an event for you! You may learn new things, make new friends and visit with many people excited about Geocaching!! Everyone is welcome!!
MAIN EVENT is Saturday, June 27th, 10 AM to 9 PM. Meet at the shelter house to sign in and start your day!
Staying the weekend? You may arrive after 4:00PM Friday, June 26th and stay till 1:00PM on Sunday, June 28th.
It's time for our Spring Fling Camp Woodsmoke 2020 event the weekend of June 26, 27, 28th! The main event is Saturday, June 27th. Children are invited to attend with a parent/guardian/grandparent and are your responsibility. There will be activities for children!
There is no charge for the event although a donation to help maintain Camp Woodsmoke would be appreciated. Camp is fully handicapped assessible. This is a private camp, owned and operated by Lion's Clubs of District 25F, Indiana. There will be no admittance to the camp before or after the event. Camp will be open to the public for this event. The 264 wooded acres of Camp Woodsmoke holds owenership of four unique and truly beautiful trails including a fully accessible trail for handicapped. Caches will be hidden on all trails for your enjoyment. (These caches will not count as finds for you.)
Door prizes will be awarded to adults and there will be some raffle items. There will be prizes for children's games. Let's trade travel bugs, geocoins, etc. We are planning a wagon ride on Saturday! Join us in friendship and fun at this annual Spring Fling in the beauty of Camp Woodsmoke in Southeast Indiana.
LOCATION: A nature's masterpiece, Camp Woodsmoke is located two miles east of Clarksburg, Indiana. Camp is only 20-30 minutes away from Rushville, Greensburg, and the historic village of Metamora, Indiana.
ACCOMMODATIONS: There are 11 sleeping cabins with cots and fans/heat provided on a first come, first served basis. You may bring your tent, camper, or share a cabin. The cabins sleep 8-10 campers. The shower/restroom facility is located near the cabins. (You will be responsible for cleaning your cabin and helping clean the shower/restroom facility and the kitchen/dining hall and shelter house when staying the weekend.) MEALS: Bring your own food for Friday evening...we will have s'mores around the campfire that night. Bring items for breakfast each morning (Cereal, milk, juice, coffee, and tea along with paper goods will be provided). A pitch-in lunch will be held Saturday at 12 noon. Saturday night enjoy a cookout (hot dogs, hamburgers, buns and toppings will be provided) and any donated food items you may have. There is a large refrigerator, freezer, stove, and ice maker for your use!
