Barnyard Dawg: Another successful installment of International Geocaching Day, and all thanks to the wonderful attendees who, despite the challenging conditions that have plagued 2020, made this a fun and entertaining edition.
With the borders closed until further notice, and international traffic all but gone, Geocaching in Malaysia has grinded to a halt. The Malaysian geocaching community is per definition a small and fragile one, and after an extended period of inactivity (6 months), there's the perceived risk that out of sight becomes out of mind, and that some players will quietly move on. After all, everyone can agree that there are more pressing matters in life at this moment. This event served as a timely breather, and it was good to see that the community is still as tight-knit and motivated as ever.
My sincere thanks to all attendees and best regards to those who did not manage to join us today! Let's hope things will improve in the near future, looking forward to seeing everyone in good health come 2021! See you on the other side!
Stay safe, play safe!
