This is one of a series of caches devoted to the James Bond movies. This is the first one in the Bond Series to be placed in Arizona, as all the previous ones were hidden in the Cincinnati, Ohio area where I used to live.
Most caches in the series will be easy because things come easily to Bond. But this is definitely not one of the easy ones. It is a considerable hike of at least 12 or more miles round trip to this cache. It is on a stretch of the Maricopa trail which also coincides with the Cottonwood Trail 247, and can be reached either from Spur Cross Ranch or the Bronco or Cave Creek trailheads. When placing this cache I used the Bronco Trailhead and my round trip hike was 13.4 miles.
This is a serious and long desert hike. As for any desert hike, bring plenty of water, watch out for the heat, thorns, and desert critters, dress properly with sturdy shoes, and bring hiking poles.
Congratulations to Corfman Clan for braving the summer heat to get the FTF! And thanks also for moving it to a more secure location.
