About Narangba Station
Narangba railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the suburb of Narangba in the Moreton Bay Region and is one of the top 30 busiest stations on the network.
Narangba station first opened in 1888 as Sideling Creek.
In 2013, a $26million major upgrade
· improved access paths to and from the station platforms via lifts
· installed new footbridge, stairs and ramps
· improved wayfinding measuring including signage, passenger information displays and audible communications
· resurfacing of platforms and the installation of ground tactile, providing a safer waiting area for customers
· improved lighting for station platforms, buildings and access paths
· new station building and amenities
· improved waiting shelters
· platform raising to minimise the gap between the platform edge and the train to avoid the need for access ramps.
Narangba station is served by all City network services from Nambour and Caboolture to Roma Street, many continuing to Springfield Central, Ipswich and Rosewood.
