Geocache Description:

11 July 2020, 09:00 - 12:00

It's the Treasure Coast Geocaching Club's

4th Annual Cache-mas in July, the Meet & Greet/ Social Distancing Edition, and this one is a

COMMUNITY CELEBRATION EVENT!

Why wait till Christmas, or Hanukkah, or what ever seasonal holiday you might celebrate, to have a celebration?

We will be meeting at at the posted coordinates on Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 9:00 am to 12:00 am for an extended meet & greet, and have some fun! The last few years have been memorable to say the least, and we hope to be able to get back to that by next year, but we'll make the best of what we can, this year!

Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold the event at our usual "Redneck Waterpark", the Douglas property, due to it being closed to the public at this time, or be able to do all the fun activities we have in the past due to social distancing guidelines. So, we will all meet at Museum Point Park, in Fort Peirce, FL. This park offers lots of shade, pavillions, a playground, restrooms, a paved walking trail, a beach, boatramp (great for launching kayaks, as there are a bunch of kayak caches nearby!), fishing areas, the St. Lucie County Aquarium, and the St. Lucie County Regional History Center! (The aquarium and museum have fees to enter and tour).

And yes, the event is free!

We will hold the event from 9 am till noon, so you may come and go as you please. For instance, if you want to pop in early, then go hit the trails for some caching, then go for it. If you are grabbing caches on your way, and time slips by faster than expected, and you get there just before noon, that's fine. If you want to hang out the whole time, meeting other cachers, conversing about previous or future adventures, that's fine too. We just want you to come and enjoy yourself, on your terms, and get a cool smiley to boot! There will be plenty os time, and room, to maintain social distancing, yet still have fun. You can even dress in your favorite holiday attire if you wish, we won't judge.

Please post your will attends, and encourage your friends to do the same. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
