Slēpnis atrodas uz salas Lielupes grīvā blakus dabas liegumam Lielupes grīvas pļavas. Dabas liegums veidots jūrmalas pļavu (Latvijā rets biotops) aizsardzībai, kas atrodas Lielupes grīvā – upes kreisajā krastā. Šeit atrodas viena no lielākajām purva mātsaknes atradnēm Latvijā. Nozīmīga putnu ligzdošanas vieta. Teritorija nav labiekārtota apskatei, tādēļ to ieteicams aplūkot no Lielupes pretējā (labā) krastā esošās Baltās kāpas, no kuras paveras plaša un pārskatāma ainava uz upes grīvu, palieņu pļavām un niedrājiem. Uz salu visērtāk nokļūt ar laivu, bet siltā laikā var arī aizpeldēt no Jūrmalas puses un ziemā protams, ka aiziet pa ledu, ja tas pietiekoši stiprs. Jas uz salu mēģina nokļūt peldus no Jūrmalas puses tad pelde jāsāk tuvāk Lielupes grīvai, jo teritorijai, kas atrodas tieši pretim slēpnim apkārt ir žogs.
The cache is placed on an island near where river Lielupe enters the sea. Nearby is located nature reserve Seashore meadows of the river Lielupe estuary. The restricted area protects the seashore meadows of the Lielupe River estuary, which are a very uncommon habitat in Latvia. The restricted area is on the left bank of the river, where one of the largest areas of wild swamp angelica is found. This is an important nesting area for birds. The territory is not improved for tourism, and it should be viewed from the Baltā (White) dune that is on the opposite bank of the Lielupe River. From there, the visitor will see a lovely landscape featuring the river estuary and the meadows which are around it. Easiest way to get to the cache is by boat or in warm weather it may be possible to swim from Jurmala. During winter it is possible to walk over the ice if it is strong enough. If you want to swim there then be aware that you may have to start your swim closer to mouth of Lielupe because area closest to the cache is fenced off.
