Lyssbach
Der Lyssbach entspringt am südlichen Dorfrand von Moosaffoltern, von wo er zuerst eingedolt bis in die Talsohle fliesst. Nachdem er diese erreicht hat, fliesst er gegen Westen bis nach Busswil, wo er in die alte Aare mündet. Zwischen Lätti und Schüpfen liegt sein Bett ungefähr mittig zwischen der Kantonsstrasse und der Autobahn. Trotz dieser wenig lauschigen Lage ist er doch ein beliebtes Naherholungsgebiet für viele Jogger, Spaziergänger, Hündeler und bietet unter anderem auch dem Biber einen Lebensraum. Seine Spuren sind immer wieder mal zu erkennen.
Auch meine Joggingrunde führt dem Lyssbach entlang und so habe ich dieses Bänkli entdeckt, welches zwar nicht unbedingt zum langen Sitzenbleiben einlädt, aber hier den Spaziergang kurz zu unterbrechen, um diesen Cache zu loggen lohnt sich trotzdem.
Anreise
ÖV
Falls du mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr anreist, steigst du am besten in Schüpfen aus der S-Bahn (S3, siehe Wegpunkt), von dort kannst du gemütlich dem Lyssbach entlangspazieren. Dies ist definitiv die empfohlene Variante, welche Dir das volle Lyssbach erlebnis gibt. Für den Rückweg zeigen dir die Wegpunkte einen alternativen Rückweg auf, wenn Du etwas Abwechslung vom Bach wünschst.
Velo
Du darfst auch mit dem Velo dem Lyssbach entlang fahren.
Auto
Falls du mit dem Auto anreist, kannst du es - trotz fehlenden offiziellen Parkplätzen - wie die Hündeler machen und an der Kreuzung von Feldweg und Teerstrasse für einige Minuten anhalten. Oder aber du stellst dein Auto bei der nahen Trafostation ab, schaue aber bitte, dass du die Zufahrt dorthin nicht blockierst.
Der Cache wurde mit der Bewilligung der Gemeinde gelegt.

Lyssbach
The Lyssbach (Lyss brook) has its source on the southern edge of the village of Moosaffoltern, from where it flows underground until it reaches the plain. After reaching it, it flow towards the west where it reaches the old Aare near Busswil. Between Lätti and Schüpfen the Lyssbach lies roughly in the middle between the main road and the highways. Despite this less than cozy setting it still is a popular local recreation area for people to go jogging, walking or to walk their dogs. It also offers a habitat to beavers whose traces you can see at various places along the Lyssbach.
My jogging lap also leads along the Lyssbach and I thus discovered this bench. It may not be all that inviting for long stays, but it is still worth a short break during your walk to sit down and log this cache.
Getting there
Public Transport
If you arrive with public transport, your best option is to take the S-Bahn to Schüpfen (S3, see additional waypoint) from where a leisurly walk along the Lyssbach will get you to the cache. This is the recommended way to log this cache as it ensures you get the full Lyssbach experience. For the walk back, there are additional waypoints showing an alternative route if you want to see something other than the Lyssbach.
Bicycle
It is also possible to ride your bike along the Lyssbach.
Car
If you come by car, you can copy the people walking their dogs, despite there not being official parking it should be possible to park your car at the intersection between the foot path and the road for a few minutes while you log the cache. Alternatively you can park it next to the nearby power switching station but please make sure you do not block access to it.
