Community Celebration Events - 2020

This Event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. Geocachers hosted events between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2021. Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.

Location

This is a potluck at the Oak Flats Picnic Area in the Holly Recreation Area.

A Michigan Recreation Passport is required to get in the park.

The first 50 people to see me at the event who have logged a Cache-Olympic event will get a "gold medal"

We have the shelter for the day so arrive and leave as you want.

2020 Cache-Olympics

Welcome to the 2020 Cache-Olympics Closing Ceremonies. The series of Olympic wherigos can all be done while practicing social distancing. There are no team events in the Cache-Olympics. When you complete each event, you will receive coordinates to the cache final which must be signed to claim a find. You will also receive your event results. Hopefully you took a screenshot of your results and posted it with your online log as your entry into the Cache-Olympics. The Olympic caches will remain active long after this event.

Scoring

You get one point for each event you complete. You get one bonus point for each event that you post your results. The final scoring will be based on the logs as of 9/14/2020. Adjustment for prize donations can be made at the event.

Prizes

There will be a prize table at the event. Leaders on the leader board will get their selection from the prize table in the order of score as prizes remain. Anyone that brings an item to donate to the table will receive a bonus 5 points.
