Geocaching has been around for 20 years. What started as a way for some friends to get out and use the technology has grown into a worldwide game. Geocaching brings people together from as close as across town to around the world.
To celebrate Geocaching’s 20th anniversary, a party of ENORMOUS MAGNITUDE will take place in Seattle (well, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but it will be a big one. Starting on May 2, 2020, two thousand twenty (2020) Community Celebration Events will be awarded a month for the next ten months that makes twenty thousand two hundred (20,200) events worldwide not only giving everyone a chance to participate in the party but a chance to get the special icon designated for these events. Maybe enormous is not so much of an exaggeration.
I am excited to host this event. As of this event date I am in my 16th year of geocaching. I will be visiting the Colorado Springs area from Minnesota and hope to meet and share geocaching stories with some local geocachers. Geocaching has been a great way to meet people, share stories, find help and just have fun. The details of my Community Celebration event are as follows:
Place: Memorial Park in Colorado Springs, CO.
When: Tuesday August 18,2020
Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
We should be at or by the two picnic tables. You're on your own for food and beverages.
Thank you and I hope you can join me.
