Let's celebrate now that we can finally have events again !
This is in Castle Rock Regional Park and Recreation Area. Parking is free. We will meet at the picnic table in the Diablo Hills Orchard Staging Area parking lot to sign the log and socialize.
It is an easy walk from there to the picnic area if you want to bring your own lunch to have with your family or friends.
This park has a Recreation Area with: Basketball courts, horseshoes pits, a volleyball court, softball field, and picnic sites. Walk up the paved road, to access this (see the waypoint below). There is also a swimming pool but at this time, attendance for that is restricted and it requires reservations. Check the following website for updates on that.

There are also lots of trails with various difficulty ... and caches. If you want to spend the day, you can hike into Foothills Regional Park/Mt. Diablo State Park from here, too.

This is about a two mile walk from Castle Rock parking area along the Stage Road trail and then about two hundred fifty feet north of the trail. The 15 creek crossings will be dry right now and it is a fairly level hike Look for the dead tree.
