You say we are picking up a GOAT? 

Ah, trash on GOAT ISLAND!! 

Time for a CITO!!! 

 Saturday, July 18th, 2020

1 pm - 2 pm

 

We will meet for our own sack lunches and then do the CITO thing, gathering trash across the island.

 

The MNRR  (The Missouri National Recreational River) is waiving the fee for using the island in exchange for cleaning up the trash there. 

Please bring your gloves, reachers, and bags, as well as any supplies to keep you safe (sunscreen, LOTS of water,

Lets show the MNRR how appreciative we are with a 110% effort for picking up the river litter from GOAT ISLAND.  Door prize at end of CITO.

 

The event log will be signed ON Goat Island, so only those making the trip will be able to log this event.

Be sure to bring along plenty of supplies and provisions for the trip. 

Lots of water!!  and more water!!! 

And your lunch and energy snacks.  And sunscreen, hat, bug spray, decent shoes, you know the drill.  

Don't forget we will social distance.  Wear masks when necessary and bring your own hand sanitizers.

Please post a "Will Attend" if you plan to make the event.

 

The National Park Service does have a few ground rules:

  1. We are not allowed to operate jet skis.
  2. We are not allowed to operate drones on this stretch of the Missouri River.
  3. They ask us to stick to the trails as much as possible. Bushwacking is allowed, just limit it as much as possible.
