Il n'y a pas de route terrestre menant du Québec au Nunavut. Il faut donc s'y rendre en avion ou en bateau. L'automobile demeure le moyen de transport le plus économique pour aller signer une cache au Nunavut et obtenir le souvenir du Nunavut. L'événement se déroule sur l'île Géocache ainsi appelée par Res2100 et ses compagnons géocacheurs. L'île est longue de 650 mètres et située dans la Baie James à environ 800 mètres au sud de la plage à l'extrémité ouest de la route de Chisasibi à environ 13 km du village.

Je vous recommande d'utiliser le service de traversée en chaloupe de type Verchères opéré par des membres de la communauté crie. Je ne vous recommande pas pour votre sécurité de traverser par vos propres moyens soit en canot ou en kayak comme les conditions de navigation dans la baie peuvent changer rapidement. le prix convenu avec les membres de la communauté crie est de 35$ par personne et cela payable en argent comptant. Il est IMPORTANT que chacun apporte des bottes imperméables, un manteau de pluie, des vêtements chauds et un gilet de sauvetage.
Prévoyez vous présenter à la plage d'embarquement pour 8 h 30.
Il y a un hôtel et une auberge à Chisasibi. Il y a aussi plusieurs établissements à Radisson. Si vous couchez à Radisson, prévoyez 1 h 30 de route entre Radisson et l'embarcadère de la plage de la Baie James pour parcourir les 122 km. Si vous partez de Radisson à 7 h, vous devriez pouvoir arriver à l'embacadère pour 8 h 30.

Il est bon de noter que
- il faut s'enregistrer au Point de contrôle situé au Km 6 (N49° 46.360' W077° 34.533') à l'aller comme au retour.
- l'essence est disponible à Matagami, au Km 381 (N52° 13.723' W077° 33.812'), à Chisasibi et à Radisson. Mieux vaut faire le plein quand l'occasion se présente comme les distances à parcourir sont grandes.
- le Relais routier situé au Km 381 est un endroit ou vous pouvez trouvez une foule de services.
- il est très important de conduire prudemment sur cette route où il y a peu de circulation. Il faut éviter les pannes et les accidents pour ne pas avoir à attendre de longues minutes avant l'arrivée des secours.
Les attraits touristiques de la région sont uniques. Il est possible de visiter les centrales La Grande-1 (LG-1) et Robert-Bourassa (LG-2). Des tours guidés sont disponibles et ils sont gratuits. On vous demande de réserver votre place 48 heures à l'avance en téléphonant au 1-800-291-8486.

There are no land routes leading from Quebec to Nunavut. You must therefore get there by plane or boat. The automobile remains the most economical means of transportation to go sign a cache at Nunavut and get the Nunavut geocaching souvenir. The event takes place on Geocache Island thus called by Res2100 and fellow geocachers. The island is 650 meters long and located in James Bay about 800 meters south of the beach at the western end of the road to Chisasibi about 13 km from the village.
The event takes place from Wednesday June 24, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the published coordinates N53°46.732' W079°04.471'.
I recommend that you use the Verchères-type boat crossing service operated by members of the Cree community. I do not recommend for your safety to cross on your own either by canoe or kayak as the conditions of navigation in the bay can change quickly. The price agreed with the members of the Cree community is 35$ per person and payable in cash It is IMPORTANT that everyone brings waterproof boots, a rain coat, warm clothes and a life jacket.
Plan to show up at the boarding beach for 8:30 a.m.
There is a hotel and inn in Chisasibi. There are also several establishments in Radisson. If you sleep at Radisson, plan an hour and a half drive between Radisson and the launching point at James Bay beach to cover the 122 km. If you leave Radisson at 07:00, you should be able to arrive at the beach for 8:30 a.m.

It is worth noting that
- you must check in at the Control Point located at Km 6 (N49° 46.360' W077° 34.533') on the outward journey as at return.
- gas is available in Matagami, at Km 381 (N52° 13.723' W077° 33.812'), in Chisasibi and in Radisson. Better to refuel when the opportunity arises as the distances to be covered are great.
- the road relay located at Km 381 is a place where you can find a host of services.
- it is very important to drive carefully on this road where there is little traffic. Avoid breakdowns and accidents so as not to have to wait long minutes before help arrives.
