Qu'est ce qu'une veine ?
C'est une petite craquelures dans la roche qui est rempli entièrement ou partiellement de minéralisation. On utilise parfois le terme pour désigner de petites intrusions magmatiques.
La cristallisation des minéraux présents dans les eaux interstitielles se fait de la périphérie vers le centre de la veine. De temps en temps on pourra trouver des zonages dus à la présence d’impuretés ou à la précipitation de plusieurs minéraux. Ce phénomène est typique des géodes.
Quel type de veine peut-on trouver ?
Les veines se trouve facilement et leur remplissage est varié.
Souvent le remplissage reflète la nature de la roches encaissante:
- Dans les roches calcaires et les roches magmatiques basiques on trouvera de la calcite.
- Dans les grès, les roches magmatiques acides et les roches siliceuses on trouvera du quartz.

Was ist eine Vene?
Es handelt sich um einen kleinen Riss im Gestein, der ganz oder teilweise mit Mineralisierung gefüllt ist. Der Begriff wird manchmal verwendet, um kleine magmatische Einbrüche zu bezeichnen.
Die Kristallisation von Mineralien im Porenwasser erfolgt von der Peripherie bis zum Zentrum der Vene. Von Zeit zu Zeit kann es aufgrund von Verunreinigungen oder der Ausfällung mehrerer Mineralien zu einer Zoneneinteilung kommen. Dieses Phänomen ist typisch für Geoden.
Welche Art von Vene kann man finden?
Die Venen sind leicht zu finden und ihre Füllung ist vielfältig.
Oftmals spiegelt die Füllung die Beschaffenheit des umgebenden Gesteins wider:
- Calcit wird in Kalkstein und grundlegenden magmatischen Gesteinen gefunden.
- In Sandsteinen, sauren magmatischen Gesteinen und Kieselgesteinen wird Quarz gefunden.

Frage 1: Sagen Sie mir anhand der obigen Fotos, hinter welchem farbigen Rechteck sich eine Vene befindet (Vorsicht, der Block wurde in Richtung der Vene geschnitten)?

What is a vein ?
It is a small crack in the rock that fills entirely or partially with mineralization. The term is sometimes used to refer to small antimagmatic intrusions.
The crystallization of minerals in pore water occurs from the periphery to the center of the vein. From time to time, zoning may occur due to the presence of impurities or the precipitation of several minerals. This phenomenon is typical of geodes.
What kind of vein can you find?
The veins are easy to find and their filling is varied.
Often the filling reflects the nature of the sur rounding rock:
- Calcite can be found in limestone and basic magmatic rocks
- In sandstones, we find acid magmatic rocks and siliceous quartz rocks.

Question 1: Using the photos above, tell me behind which color of rectangle is a vein (beware, the block was cut in the path of the vein?
Question 2: Now that you have found the rock, can you tell me if it is a calcite or a quartz vein?
