Geocache Description:

NOTE: The listed coordinates are NOT the location of this cache.

You must first find a minimum of 12 of the 29 caches in the R set of KCSearcher's Feb29 2020 Experiment and collect codes from those caches to be certain of deriving the coordinates for this one.

Click Here to be presented a list of R set of caches.

PLEASE READ: This is the bonus cache for the R set of caches in KCSearcher's Feb29 2020 Experiment series. Please consider logging your FTF online ASAP to inform other FTF hounds that it has been found and preventing them from wasting time and gas on a futile FTF attempt.

YELLOW TICKET: There is a single yellow ticket in this cache that should be retrieved and taken to the FTF on Feb 29? YES!!! Come Tell Your Stories event so that it can be entered into the FINDERS RAFFLE DRAWING.

2 sets of 29 caches plus 3 bonus caches have been placed for publication on 2/29/2020. This is to help cachers fill in their caching calendar by getting a find on 2/29. In addition, there are some cachers that need an FTF on 2/29 to help complete their FTF blackout bingo. Remember, leap day only comes around once every 1,461 days.

Travel (that’s why it’s a D4.0):

The R set of caches are located in the following counties:

  • 9 in Alameda
  • 2 in San Francisco
  • 6 in San Joaquin
  • 3 in San Mateo
  • 6 in Santa Clara
  • 1 in Santa Cruz
  • 2 in Stanislaus

Prerequisite:

To find this cache, you must have collected at least 12 of the R set of numbers associated with the coordinate code letters from each cache. Once you have all the codes, you can derive the cache location, you will find the cache at N3n pq.rst W12u vw.xyz. To derive the final coordinates for your search, do the following math (the large letters correspond to the value you recorded when you found the caches):

  • n = N - Z
  • p = P - T
  • q = Q + T
  • r = R - Z
  • s = S + X
  • t = T - Z
  • u = U - N
  • v = V + S
  • w = W - T
  • x = X - Y
  • y = Y - X + R
  • z = Z + Y

Code Frequency:

  • N: 5 caches with this code
  • P: 2 caches with this code
  • Q: 1 cache with this code
  • R: 1 cache with this code
  • S: 2 caches with this code
  • T: 4 caches with this code
  • U: 4 caches with this code
  • V: 2 caches with this code
  • W: 1 cache with this code
  • X: 1 cache with this code
  • Y: 2 caches with this code
  • Z: 4 caches with this code

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

If you can't get the coordinates to come out right, recheck your work and try again. If you are still having problems, send me a message with the coordinates you derived and the data values you used for the coordinate code letters.

SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES at the FTF on Feb 29? YES!!! Come Tell Your Stories event on February 29th!!!
