Geocache Description:

Church Micro - Ewerby St Andrew.

In the quiet and leafy village of Ewerby stands the Anglican Church of St Andrew.

It is a Grade I listed building and is an example of early 14th century Decorated style with a 172 feet (52 m) spire.

In the north chancel is the recumbent effigy of Sir Alexander Aunsell, the founder of the church.

St Andrew's was restored in 1895 and again in 2009

Ewerby is pronounced by locals OOWERBY in case you need to blend in with muggles.

The Cache

At the posted coordinates you are at the entrance to the Church. Look above and see two carved letters (they are the same), what is its value if A=1, B=2 etc?

Call this value (for one letter) - AB

Now head inside the gate towards the Church front door. A little way inside there is a grave, metal railings are around it. Find the Captain who ironically died on the same day I was born (not the year!)

He died in CDEF aged GH years

The cache is hidden at the following coordinates.

N 53 FF. (B+C), (H-C), (G+B)  and W 000 (D+H+G) . (F), (B+C), (E-A-C)

Happy hunting. The cache is a shortish walk away or cache and dash.
