Geocaching is what you’ve made it. Entering into the 20th year of geocaching, we want to celebrate what’s most important: this community-driven game!
I had originally planned to hold this event on May 2, 2020, and then COVID-19 happened. So, now that we've hopefully learned a little more about what we can and cannot do to be safe, we're going to try again, with a few changes to ensure safety and social distancing. PLEASE BRING A MASK AND WEAR IT TO THE EVENT!
Let's get together at Cahaba River Park on December 12, 2020 to celebrate 20 years of Geocaching. This will be your first opportunity in a decade to log the infamous Lost and Found Event Cache - redesigned with a new icon for 2020!
- Bring a sack lunch or snack and share with us what is on your "wish-list" for the new year.
- Did you get much geocaching done in 2020? How did you adjust to caching in the age of coronavirus?
- Come prepared to tell the group about your favorite geocaching experience, and your most embarrassing!
- Bring geocoins, pathtags and trackables for others to log or to trade. Gloves will be available for safety.
- Sign the log, pick up a door prize number, and stay for a group photo and drawing at 10:45 AM.
- Come prepared, if you wish, to hike one of the trails at the park and find some geocaches after the event.
