Please join us as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Geocaching and our 13th year as geocachers!
We decided to choose this location (Lochiel Lake Provincial Park) as it is very close to one of our first finds, GCVK82, after we registered our GC account on June 16, 2007.
Please bring a lawnchair! There are picnic tables available (on first come basis). We will have a portable BBQ available for anyone who wants to use.
Prizes supplied by Municipality District of St. Mary's Recreation and Nova Scotia Geocaching Association and CO! Please post a will attend so we can plan for door prizes and treats and have enough bottled water and hand sanitizer on hand. Social distancing expected. Masks welcomed.
Our Adventure Lab; Guysborough County Bridges and Bonus cache GC8V4A8 is live and we will be releasing some caches that were hidden close to home during Covid-19 (Hoping to have at least 8 types of caches including events, available within 30 kms!)
In accordance with Covid 19 restrictions:
Gathering limits apply to social events, faith gatherings, sports and physical activity, weddings, funerals and arts and culture events like theatre performances, dance recitals, festivals and concerts.
You need to follow the gathering limit, unless your group has an exemption identified in the Health Protection Act Order.
The following gathering restrictions are in place:
- gathering limit with social distancing - 50 people maximum, indoors and outdoors
- gathering limit without social distancing - you can form a group of up to 10 people without social distancing; you’re strongly encouraged to keep your group consistent
