Join us for a Disc Golf themed event!
The host will be at the meeting point for the duration of the event and the following optional activities are available for the group.
- A basic disc golf 101 class at the beginning of the event (How to play, throw, score).
- Closest to the pin contest (Closest to the target from 60 feet; if more than one is within 5 feet, we will move the target to 90 feet to determine the winner)
- Longest drive contest
- Play
9 7 holes to be entered for a prize. We suggest using the amatuer tees. Approximately coordinates for the Tee pad and Target for each of the 7 holes (#1, #11, #12, #13, #14, #17, #18) are entered as reference coordinates.
- Find nearby geocaches in the park (Including a field puzzle replacement container by 2hawki available at the event coordinates for "The Devil is in the Details : GC6ZDPB" ).
- Or just gather in a socially distanced way at the nearby shelter or grassy fields and picnic tables.
For the prize available from the optional round of disc golf: each geocacher will tee off separately if desired or in groups of up to 4 allowing plenty of distance between players. Each player will record their throws on a numbered scorecard. A random number will be generated after all the players have returned and the winner will be declared! A geocaching stylized prize will be awarded to the winner!
Several extra discs will be available to borrow if you do not have any.
