Geocache Description:

Balaena ([baːˈɫ̪ae̯.n̪a] pronunciation: https://forvo.com/word/balaena/ ) is my geocaching nickname and a latin word for a whale.

While geocaching to find these 22 caches you will probably not see any whales, but there are chances to see a wild common pheasant (Phasianus colchicus), deer, rabbits, squirrels, snakes and others.

To find the balaena series you will first have to solve the riddles one by one – there are 3 different coding systems used, all very simple. Than all it takes is a nice pleasant circular walk. The walk takes about an hour if you are not searching for caches. Caches are hidden in a straightforward manner so I presume that it will take you approximately two hours to find them all.

It does not matter where you start walking. There are different possibilities to park your car, but beware: during summer months, many of these are payable. While walking you will also have many opportunities to cool yourself in the sea.

IMPORTANT: Some of these cache locations are packed with muggles. Therefore, I kindly ask you to be extremely stealth and to return the cache exactly as you found it.
