Welcome to Sutherlin! This series consists of 12 traditional caches and 8 virtual caches that will lead geocachers to explore the historical and recreational sights in and around Sutherlin. This year we will be taking you on a very scenic tour through some beautiful countryside not too far from town for the physical caches. The majority of the caches are custom made for you to enjoy and possibly expand your knowledge of cache types. Limited Edition Sutherlin Timber Town Geocoins will be awarded to those who complete the geocache series!
The kick-off event will be held on the back patio of Motel 6 and will include free coffee and donuts, a meet and greet, and a group photo. Help will be available to enter waypoints into your devices when passports are distributed. Free Wifi is available.
Bring completed passports to the Umpqua Valley Room inside the Sutherlin Motel 6 to receive your coin. After the kick-off event, passports can be picked up and returned to Motel 6 front desk. The series will continue until all geocoins are awarded.
