Om Mönsterås Station
Mönsterås kommun bildades 1971 vid kommunreformen genom ombildning av Mönsterås köping. Tätorten består av ca 500 hektar mark. I kommunen bor 13457 personer (2019). Man kan inte komma med tåg till Mönsterås. Den 14 november 1973 öppnas normalspåret Kalmar-Sandbäckshult-Mönsterås. Men själva spåret mellan Mönsterås och Sanbäckshult öppnades redan 1902. I nuläget (2019) går inga persontåg till Mönsterås utan spåren används för godstrafik till den närliggande skogsindustrin.

About Mönsterås Station
The municipality of Mönsterås was formed in 1971 by the municipal reform through the transformation of Mönsterås buying. The urban area consists of approximately 500 hectares of land. The municipality has 13457 people (2019). You cannot come by train to Mönsterås. On November 14, 1973, the normal track Kalmar-Sandbäckshult-Mönsterås opens. But the very track between Mönsterås and Sanbäckshult was opened as early as 1902. At present (2019) no passenger trains go to Mönsterås, but the tracks are used for freight traffic to the nearby forest industry.
