HELLO GEOCACHERS!!! It's finally okay to host this awesome 20 Years of Geocaching Event! You will be travelling to Bodega Head in Bodega Bay, CA! This is my very first event I'm holding and I am hoping to make everyone feel welcome and happy! There are many geocaches out here and ready for you to find (Some are very old too!)
There will be a couple of cool prizes and a raffle going on to possibly win them. If any of you wanna add to the prizes because you have spare ready-made geocaches you'd like to give away, please bring them! The more the marrier! Also, while CA's mask mandate will be lifted on "supposedly" June 15th, I encourage the unvaccinated to wear one around each other.
There are about 9 picnic tables out here if you'd like to bring food for your families to share, but food will NOT be provided by the host and there is no guaruntee that all of the picnic tables will be available, as this place gets pretty crowded with parking. IF YOU CAN CARPOOL, PLEASE DO SO!
Things to bring to ensure you have a good time:
-Sunscreen
-Hiking Stick (all caches require hiking; some are low-key and some are harder)
-Trackables
-A JACKET (THIS IS A MUST! Even in the summertime, this place is VERY windy!)
-Snacks and a drink
-HAND SANITIZER AND TOILET PAPER (The bathroom here is just a pit toilet and never has hand sanitizer and runs out of toilet paper quickly)
-A good pair of shoes
-You'll need to download an OFFLINE MAP/LIST to your phone if you want to geocache out here!
This event is wheelchair accessible near the picnic table area, so long as your wheelchair can go on pebble-like gravel, though no caches are wheelchair accessible. There are some along the main road that are accessible though.
I look forward to seeing you all there!!!]
