We're taking this opportunity to observe the 20th Anniversary of Geocaching with our friends from the surrounding area and region, and those passing through. All are welcome to join us! We'll be at Pavilion #1 inside the main entry to Widewater State Park. We have the reservation for the day, so feel free to come early or stay late and find the geocaches on the Park grounds and nearby areas. Note - you'll need to pay a parking fee for entrance to this park. Better yet, maybe consider an annual pass to save money when visiting all the VA State Parks this year!! The posted coordinates will get you within visual distance of the pavilion.
** COVID UPDATE 7/13/20 - This event will support all mandated and suggested precautions for coronovirus precautions. For the event part, we will maximize your flexibility to attend the event in person this day. To inimize our gathering size, we will recognize and honor plans to come after the start, and depart earlier than athe posted times. There will be a log to sign, and we'll work out a way to hand the log to those pulling up into the area of the pavilion to observe social distancing. The event will not supply food - PLease bring any items you'd like to eart or drink. , particulafly water if you plan to hike around the park Plan ahead for medicine and food needed for medical conditions. In short - This is a gathering to remind us of the fun we have pursuing geocaches, and hearing about the exploits of our friends in this game, and to make plans for the future. All around this enjoyment we get from hiding and seeking hidden caches.
