A much delayed Community Celebration Event to be held at the Annecy Gardens in Sandford Park.
Originally set up over two years ago, one of many plans that fell to Covid.
The park is a lovely place to wander especially if the sun shines.
I understand that there is 'Jubilee Jolly' (with all manner of attractions), being held on this day - something I was unaware of when I submitted this - so there should be plenty to see and do. And of course one doesn't need to be quite so sneaky with Ad Labs.
Annecy is a French town twinned with Cheltenham. The gardens have a sheltered pergola around each side with a lion's mouth fountain on the park side. The central area is level but there are shallow steps around the sides which could be difficult for wheelchair users. Beyond the fountain the park opens up to a pleasant area for strolling or sitting. Further to the east the park crosses a road into a more open area with a playpark, toilets, boules pitch and a helipad.
Bring a picnic and stay for a while or just drop in to sign the logbook and continue on your way.
