Welcome to the Rats 20 year Community Celebration Event.
If you’ve done a Rats cache or been caching with me you’ll know I love an adventure, so when I was lucky enough to be given a community celebration event I immediately wanted to do something a little “outside the norm” to celebrate 20 years of geocaching.
Join me as we celebrate 20 years of geocaching atop of “Callendina Loop”, or as I like to call it “In the Loop”. Situated roughly halfway between Richmond and Blackheath or Mt Tomah and Winmalee, on the Wentworth Creek lies one of the more remote caches in the Blue Mountains.
On Saturday 13th June @ 10.00am I’ll be hosting an event at In the Loop.
This event isn’t for the faint hearted, it’s certainly not a drive-by and it’s not a place to be if you’re unprepared or unskilled in bush navigation. There are no tracks to GZ and depending on which route you take to GZ it’s a 15-20km trip each way.
Getting to GZ: The Rats take no responsibility for how you get to GZ, nor will we be organising groups, teams or tag-along parties for those wishing to attend the event. I can’t stress enough, this event isn’t for everyone, its hard work, but it is a walk in the park.
The logbook will be available from 10.00am for 2-hours at the posted coordinates. I hope to see you there.
