Some time ago I was completing a series placed by Flatcoat Walker and found a couple of discarded cache containers..........I was given permission to use those for my own caches and have placed two previous caches in their occasional series of Country Memorials, those strange curio's we stumble across when caching. Here is a 3rd placement of mine on that theme - and again it is using a recycled container from Flatcoat Walker, this time one that I collected (with permission!) from an archived series as I walked around it.
This was a grave we stumbled across when visiting the church many years ago and the kids often ask to make a detour through the graveyard, if we are on foot, to see it.
Anyway.........
At the listed co-ordinates you will find a grave, you are looking for the tallest memorial in this part of the graveyard, that remembers a man who died in rather unforunate circumstances..........or perhaps it was justified, you decide.
Using the information on the memorial; calculate:
A= No. of letters in the "thing" that killed him
B = No. of letters in his 2nd name - no. of letters in his first name
C = Position in the alphabet of the only repeated letter in his surname
D= The number of the month he died in (January = 1 etc)
E = The number of lines of text on the lower section, starting with "The Sun Shall"
F = The square root of the final number in the year of his death
The checksum of these 6 figures is 22.
The cache is located a short walk away at
N51 16.ABC
W000 22.DEF
There is plenty of parking in nearby streets but please park considerately.
