[DE] Unterhalb des Weilers Grapolding steht ein bemerkenswertes Feldkreuz zwischen zwei mächtigen Schwarzpappeln. Es wurde schon 1868 errichtet und dem Heiligen Leonhard gewidmet. Dieser gilt in Altbayern als "Bauernherrgott" und Schutzpatron für das Vieh, was das Votivbild auf der Wetterschutzvertäfelung hinter dem Kreuz deutlich zeigt. Wie wichtig dieses Feldkruz auch heute noch der Bauernfamilie ist, belegen die regelmäßigen Restaurierungen, die ebenfalls auf dem Bild eingetragen sind.
Bitte das Kreuz nur andächtig betrachten! Der Cache befindet sich nicht hier, sondern in der Nähe. Kreuz und Bäume müssen nicht umrundet werden.
Wer mit einem motorisierten Fahrzeug unterwegs ist, soll es bitte an einem der angegebenen Parkplätze abstellen. Sonst landet man direkt im Hof des Bauern, von wo es nicht mehr weiter geht. Das würde unerwünschte Aufmerksamkeit erregen.
[EN] A remarkable field cross stands between two mighty black poplars below the hamlet Grapolding. It was erected in 1868 and dedicated to Saint Leonhard. In Upper Bavaria he applies as "farmers' god" and patron of cattle, which clearly shows the votive picture on the weather protection paneling behind the cross. How important this field cross is for the peasant family still today, the regular restorations are proving, which are registered in the picture.
