Geocache Description:

THIS IS A CHALLENGE CACHE.

THE CACHE IS AT THE POSTED COORDINATES,

BUT YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA TO BE ABLE TO CLAIM A FIND:

FIND AT LEAST 1,000 CACHES WITH THE "BIKES ALLOWED" ATTRIBUTE.

Welcome to the Tri-County Corridor Trail.  61 miles long, this multi-use trail spans three counties (Douglas, Bayfield and Ashland).  The Trail is open to the following activities: ATVs, Bike, Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Snowmobiling, and Walking. It is also advertised as a Geocaching Trail on the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy website.  It is mostly large size gravel, so a wider tire is recommended if you're biking.  The trail generally follows Hwy 2, but there are a few spots where the trail crosses the highway.  Please use caution!!  The caches will always be hidden just off the trail, or between the trail and the highway ROW.  None of the hides are on private property.

Also, please note that while this looks like a power trail, there is a mixture of cache containers/sizes and many of them will take some time to retrieve and replace.  Please DO NOT move the logs.  Sign and replace as found.  If your name is not in the cache, you should not be claiming a find.  Lastly, you should bring your own writing stick.

You may want more than just a bicycle along to grab some of these hides. The difficulty is relative to the challenge portion of the cache, but the terrain was rated using the following scale:

1      Wheelchair accessible.
1.5   Granny with her cane can get to it easily.
2      Granny with her cane can still get to it, but it won't be easy.
2.5   Off the trail a bit, up or downhill likely.
3      Probably should watch your footing, bit of a challenge!
3.5   A short TOTT was used to place the cache.
4      A 10 foot TOTT was used to place the cache. Look UP!
4.5   More than 10 feet up, use a long TOTT.  Look way UP!
5      Tethered!  You'll need to climb...  maybe bring a different TOTT.

For all of the caches in this series, we will provide a checker through Project GC to verify whether you have met the challenge. Often the script is written by others, so they might not word the results perfectly, but it will save a huge amount of time to check if you have met the challenge.
