Geocache Description:

06 June 2020, 08:30 - 09:30

This event is published with the expectation (hope) that the Saunders County Health Department and Cherios will allow gatherings. Please enter your Will Attend and/or watch this cache page for updates, which could happen up to the event start.

This event will be held in Harold and Thelma's basement upstairs At Cheri O's. That will all make perfect sense, once you are near the coordinates, not far from the intersection of Silver and 4th Streets in Ashland.

Time: 8:30 to 9:30. That's AM and Central Time, of course.

This event is normally held the first Saturday of each month, with a different GC code. There are occasions where the date is changed.

There is one steep and narrow flight of stairs to climb, thus the terrain rating of 2.0

Ashland was known as Saline Ford in the 1840s and 50s. This was the only natural rock-bottom ford of Salt Creek between the future capital of Nebraska and the Platte River. It was used by the military and settlers moving west who preferred the Oxbow Trail along the south side of the Great Platte River Road.

This event was started in approximately 2008 and maintained by McGator, Lady Bug of Plattsmouth, and Twinstars for many years before being passed to TeamDAAK!!! Huzzah Huzzah Huzzah
