The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. If you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
On street parking, available in Rotcombe Lane. Area can be muddy when wet. Please take care with young children.
This ‘Little Bridge’ is not very old. My children used to come here years ago and then you had to cross the stream using stepping stones. It’s probably best to attempt this one from the Rotcombe Lane end and follow the path across the field. If you do attempt it from the public footpath from Eastover Road you are liable to miss the entrance to the path down to the bridge as its quite overgrown and often difficult to traverse. (Plus the hint won’t be valid)
You are looking for a small pot. Bring your own pen/cil.
July 2021 update. A tree has come down and access to one of the ways to the cache is more tricky. I have uploaded a photo of the bridge, changed the terrain difficulty and amended the hint to reflect this.
