Geocache Description:

The CO was looking for a new spot to hide a cache and found Penguin to be empty on the map. So, now’s the time to fill the void! Penguin is a town known for the big penguin statue, other penguin monuments, playgrounds, a skate park, a nice beach or two, some historic buildings, and some penguins, of course! Common for tourists, Penguin draws a lot of attention due to being named after the flightless bird. It has been further popularised by the 7 Day Makeover, where public seating and other improvements were added. The town encourages exercise, with footpaths and everything is close together. This series is supposed to enlighten and enrich people’s knowledge of this wonderful little town. Please be aware of muggles, especially on weekends, so please use stealth. I hope you enjoy the series! :)

Welcome to the beautiful community garden of Penguin. Sitting right beside the beach, this garden features various plants and flowers, making for some great photos. The garden stretches for a kilometre and is well worth the stroll along the beach too. The gardens were started by Max Perry, in 1983, and further maintained by Gordon Ling. I often see dogs chasing a ball on the beach, or people having a family picnic on the grassy area, why not do the same?

This cache is regular in size, (camouflaged) so it has plenty of room for swaps.
