Kostel svatého Mikuláše v Čečovicích
Podle názoru odborníků byl kostel pravděpodobně postaven v letech 1330 až 1410 na místě staršího pohřebiště poblíž středověké pevnosti pánů Velhartic, kteří vlastnili Čečovice. Podle posledních zjištění se jeho stavba datuje do let 1340-1360.
V roce 1999 byl kostel pro svou důležitost vyhlášen národní kulturní památkou. V současné době byl kompletně zrekonstruován - například původní výzdoba interiéru byla skryta pod dvanácti vrstvami barvy.
Kostel je jednou z nejpozoruhodnějších gotických staveb v okrese Domažlice a je mimořádně cenným dokladem vrcholně gotické architektury. Architektura kostela je podobná jako v katedrále v Řezně a kostele sv. Jana Křtitele v Nabburgu (okres Schwandorf). Předpokládá se, že kostel je dílem umělců, stavějících i katedrálu v Řezně.
Architektonické a umělecké pojetí kostela v Čečovicích je v české stavební produkci ojedinělé, použitý stavební materiál je cihla kombinovaná s masivně aplikovanými a poměrně náročnými sochařskými kamennými prvky.
Předpokládá se, že při stavbě tohoto cihlového kostela byly použity kamenné prvky z jiné, podstatně větší a významnější budovy. Je dokonce možné, že tyto články nebyly tesány v Čechách, ale byly již přivezeny z Bavorska.

According to experts, the church was probably built between 1330 and 1410 on the site of an older burial site near the medieval fortress of the Velhartice, who owned Čečovice. According to the latest findings, its construction dates back to the years 1340-1360.
In 1999 the church was declared a national cultural monument for its importance. It has now been completely renovated - for example, the original interior decoration has been hidden under twelve layers of paint.
The church is one of the most remarkable Gothic buildings in the Domažlice district and is an extremely valuable example of the high Gothic architecture. The architecture of the church is similar to that of Regensburg Cathedral and St. John the Baptist in Nabburg (Schwandorf district). It is assumed that the church is the work of artists who build the cathedral in Regensburg.
The architectural and artistic concept of the church in Čečovice is unique in Czech building production, the building material used is a brick combined with massively applied and quite demanding sculptural stone elements.
It is assumed that stone elements from another, substantially larger and more significant building were used in the construction of this brick church. It is even possible that these articles were not carved in Bohemia, but were already brought from Bavaria.
