Geocache Description:

[LV] Ogres pilsētā skulptūra lācītis Ēriks uzstādīts jau 1967.gadā, visu šos gadus rūpes par lācīša vizuālo izskatu uzņēmusies Ogres Mākslas skola (krāsojums,detaļu atjaunošana un montāža). Ogres pilsētas iedzīvotāji un viesi ir iemīļojuši lacīti Ēriku un liela daļa pat uzskata to par Ogres pilsētas simbolu. Lācītis bija atjaunots un nokrāsots par godu ogres svētkiem (23 augustā) un 30 gadus baltijas ceļam.

[ENG] Ogre City sculpture of Eric the Teddy was built in 1967. After years of him not being taken care of the Ogre School of Art volunteered to take care of him. All these years the Ogre Art School have been (painting, restoration and assembly) to care for the appearance of Eric. Ogre city residents and guests have loved Teddy Eric and many even consider him the symbol of Ogre City. The bear was restored and painted in honor of the Ogre City Festival (on August 23rd 2019) and 30 years since the Baltic Way.
