Start at the parking lot for the Bell Canyon trail-head (40 33.889 N, 111 48.218 W). This is a well-worn and wide trail but is a little steep. You can stay on the trail for the most part but you will have to do some "bush-wacking" to find both of this caches. It is .2 mile from the parking lot to the first cache. Your elevation will climb about 475 ft to the first cache. The second isn't very steep but you climb another 550 ft. Total round trip from the parking lot to both caches and back is 2.7 miles and 1025 ft. Don't forget to turn around every once in a while and enjoy the view. Of course going to the second cache is optional. Please post a log even if you made it only to the first.
Cache number 1: For best results go to the coordinate 40 33.974 N, 111 47.806 W and look for the green transformer then continue on. Look for a huge granite rock with a sharp triangular point on top near the edge of the hill overlooking the valley. We call this the recliner rock because you can sit in it and enjoy the beautiful view. The old cache was under the rock before it was taken and the new one is close by. I left small pieces of paper in the log packet to write down the next cache's coordinates if you decide to continue.
Cache number 2: Follow the maintenance road around the north of the reservoir until you get to the sign marking the trail. If the weather is hot, stop by the creek, take your shoes off, stand in and stick you head in the water to cool down. Use the hint coordinate if you end up on the south side of the creek like we did when placing the cache. You will have to cross a rough fallen log bridge. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Do not attempt anything that you don't feel comfortable in doing.
