About Pontwalby Halt Station
A station was opened here on the outskirts of Glynneath in 1906 but in 1911 it was replaced by a two-platform halt called Pontwalby, a short distance to the north. Although the line has been removed it has been replaced by a footpath. You can climb the steps from the cache location and explore the area of the halt and the nearby Pontwalby Viaduct which is rather impressive.
