🇸🇮 Osmega avgusta 1969 se je pred glasbenim studijem EMI v Londonu zbrala skupina ljudi. Policaj je ustavil promet, da je lahko fotograf Iain Macmillan z lestve na sredi ceste napravil šest posnetkov članov skupine The Beatles, kako prečkajo cesto po geolovcem predobro poznani zebri na ulici Abbey Road. Fotografija za naslovnico albuma Abbey Road, na katerem lahko slišimo kronološko zadnje studijske posnetke skupine The Beatles, je ena najbolj ikoničnih fotografij v pop-kulturi nasploh.
Za naslovnico so izbrali posnetek, na katerem slavna četverica po zebri koraka ubrano. Če se ne bi ustavili na drugi strani in bi prehodili skupaj 1229.27645 km v smeri 113.61101 stopinj, bi prišli do točke, kjer je bil natanko 50 let kasneje postavljen zaklad v spomin na ta pop-zgodovinski dogodek.
🇬🇧 On August 8, 1969, a group of people gathered outside EMI recording studio in London. A policeman stopped the traffic to allow photographer Iain Macmillan to place a stepladder in the middle of the road. From it, he took six shots of The Beatles crossing the Abbey Road on a zebra, very well known to geocachers. The photo on the cover of Abbey Road album with chronologically the last studio recordings of the group is one of the most iconic pop-culture photos.
The photo, chosen for the album, was the only one when the Fab Four are walking in time. If they hadn't stopped on the other side, but marched for total of 1229.27645 km with the bearing of 113.61101 degrees, they would have reached the location, where exactly 50 years to the day, a geocache was placed to commemorate this pop-historical event.
