Geocache Description:

IMPORTANT: Sometime between October 4 and 19, 2002, the CABA-6 geo-cache located in Lakeside, Arizona was stolen. I performed an extensive search of the area and found no trace of the ammo box or it's contents. I decided to make this a virtual cache, since is a unique area and great hike. I have made several attempts this year to replace it, but keep finding the trail closed due to fire hazard. Will try again this fall. Team Osborne

This is considered an offset cache the above coordinates will take you to an interesting geo-cache marker NEAR the cache. You will also need to solve the clues below to find the actual geo-cache from this marker. Do this now, before you start your actual hunt.

Clue #1 - What is 43.333334 Fathoms converted to Feet? One resource to convert lengths is (visit link)

Clue #2 - What comedy movie did Rob Reiner produce and direct in 1994? (Also in this movie Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander played Mom & Dad in their first non-Seinfeld roles together.) One resource to solve this clue is The Internet Movie Database at (visit link)

The cache is located to the North of Lakeside. From AZ 260, turn left on Porter Mountain Road also known as (Forest Road 45) for 2.2 miles. Take a left at the cattle guard and proceed to the parking lot of the Timber Mesa Trail #636. (N34 11.113 W109 57.952) Mountain bikes could be used for searching for this cache.

This is a very nice hike through a juniper and ponderosa pine forest. The trail is fairly easy; hike quietly as it is common to see wildlife such as Elk, Deer, Tree Squirrels, and Arizona Horn Toads. (In fact, a large coyote ran across the trail about 30 feet in front of me as I was heading to the cache site.) Take time to explore the area around the cache, there are meadows of wildflowers, and lush wetlands nearby. (Early in the morning a variety of wildlife can be seen in this area.)

The cache is an ammo container. It contains a small American flag, two patriotic buttons, a small multi-function knife, and a logbook.

This is the sixth cache to be placed this month in the White Mountains by CABA (Central Arizona Backpackers Association) located in Tempe, Arizona. (A non-profit community hiking club.)

Have a nice hunt.
