Rondo Kaponiera jest centralnym punktem komunikacyjnym Poznania. W 1872 roku powstała w tym miejscu Kaponiera Kolejowa w celu osłaniania ogniem linii kolejowych. W latach 1968-1973 w miejscu Kaponiery Kolejowej zbudowano rondo z przejściem podziemnym, które otrzymało imię Mikołaja Kopernika. W 1992 roku zmieniono nazwę na Rondo Kaponiera, nawiązując do dawnej funkcji tego punktu.
Miejsce, w którym stoisz określane jest żartobliwie jako NAJLEPSZY PUNKT WIDOKOWY W POLSCE. Skąd takie określenie? Bo stąd za jednym spojrzeniem można dostrzec i Bałtyk i Tatry!!!
Jak to możliwe? Ten futurystyczny budynek to Centrum Obsługi Bizensu BAŁTYK. Jego nazwa pochodzi od dawnego kina BAŁTYK, które stało w tym miejscu w latach 1929-2006.
Ale gdzie Tatry? - zapytacie... TATRY to tramwaje. Po poznańskich torowiskach kursują wagony Tatra RT6N1. W dniu publikacji skrytki obsługują one linię nr 13, kursującą w pobliżu Bałtyku.
Tak więc stojąc w tym miejscu zobaczysz BAŁTYK i TATRY!

Rondo Kaponiera (the Kaponiera Roundabout) is the central communication point of Poznań. In 1872 Railway Caponier was established here to protect the railway lines with fire. In the place of this caponier a roundabout with an underground passage was built in the years 1968-1973, which received the name of Nicolaus Copernicus. The name was changed to Rondo Kaponiera in 1992, referring to the former function of this point.
The place where you are standing is described jokingly as THE BEST VIEWPOINT IN POLAND. Where does that term come from? Because from here you can see both the Baltic and the Tatras in one glance !!!
How is it possible? This futuristic building is the BALTIC BUSINESS SERVICE CENTER. Its name comes from the old BALTIC cinema, which stood here over the period 1929-2006.
But where are the Tatras? - you'll ask ... TATRAS are trams. The Tatra RT6N1 cars run along Poznań's rails. On the day of publication of the cache, they operate the line No. 13, which runs near the Baltic.
So while standing here, you will see the BALTIC and TATRAS!
