La città di Trieste e tutti i suoi abitanti sono indissolubilmente legati alla bora.
La bora è un vento molto forte e turbolento che soffia da Est Nord-Est nel golfo di Trieste. E' un vento discontinuo che intervalla momenti di quiete a raffiche molto potenti. A causa della differenza di temperatura tra il Carso e la costa può raggiungere velocità notevoli superando i 160 km/h. La bora a Trieste viene chiamata bora scura in presenza di cielo coperto, pioggia o neve oppure bora chiara se il cielo è sereno.
Gli abitanti della città soffrono e amano questo vento che riempe le persone di energia, emozioni e spazza via il brutto tempo. La città in un giorno di bora è uno spettacolo da vedere! Uno dei posti più caratteristici da visitare in una giornata di bora è il molo Audace, dove solo i più coraggiosi si spingono quando imperversa il maltempo.
Per poter loggare questo virtual cache è necessario allegare al log una foto alla fine del molo con la bora, se oggi non sta soffiando usate la vostra fantasia... ;-)

The city of Trieste and all its inhabitants are inextricably linked to the bora.
The bora is a very strong and turbulent wind that blows from the East North-East in the Gulf of Trieste. It is a discontinuous wind that interrupts moments of quiet in very powerful gusts. Due to the temperature difference between the Karst and the coast it can reach remarkable speeds exceeding 160 km / h. The bora in Trieste is called dark bora in the presence of overcast sky, rain or snow or clear bora if the sky is clear.
Citizens suffer and love this wind that fills people with energy, emotions and wipes out bad weather. The city on a bora day is a must-see! One of the most characteristic places to visit in a bora day is the Audace pier, where only the bravest go when bad weather is raging.
