Narodil se 7. září 1815 v Bratčicích u Čáslavi jako nejstarší syn mlynáře.
Zemřel 10. září 1845 v Pardubicích v domě svých rodičů nedlouho po tragické události, když se dne 9. září 1845 smrtelně zranil před tunelem v Chocni, kde narazil do sloupu jeho vrat.
He was born on 7 September 1815 in Bratčice near Čáslav as the eldest son of a miller. He died on September 10, 1845 in Pardubice in his parents' house not long after the tragic event when he was fatally injured on September 9, 1845 in front of the tunnel in Chocni, where he crashed into a gate post.
