Piazza del Campo (o più semplicemente il Campo) è la piazza principale della città di Siena. Unica per la sua particolare e originalissima forma a conchiglia, è rinomata in tutto il mondo per la sua bellezza e integrità architettonica, nonché per essere il luogo in cui due volte l'anno si svolge il Palio di Siena. Per un'antica convenzione, la piazza e il Palazzo Pubblico non appartengono ad alcuna contrada.

REQUISITI PER POTER LOGGARE LA VIRTUAL CACHE
Le coordinate di questa virtual cache vi portano in uno dei punti in cui si possono osservare meglio le fasi del Palio di Siena: a) la Mossa, b) la curva di S.Martino, c) la curva del Casato. Per poter loggare la cache dovete svolgere i seguenti compiti:
1) Contate i colonnini che si trovano in Piazza del Campo: state attenti, ce ne sono di due tipi (Foto 1 e Foto 2) e vanno contati entrambi. Mandatemi la risposta in privato. Potete sbagliare con un margine di +2 o -2. Foto della vostra impresa nel contare i colonnini sono gradite (ma non richieste per poter loggare la cache).
2) Fatevi un selfie con la Torre del Mangia in una delle due posizioni che si vedono nell’esempio: dentro l’Entrone (Foto 3 e Foto 4), che però non è sempre aperto; dal Gavinone (Foto 5 e Foto 6). Pubblicate le foto nel vostro log.
Potete loggare la cache mandandomi la risposta al punto 1) contemporaneamente. I log che non soddisfano i requisiti verranno cancellati.

Piazza del Campo (or simply the Campo) is the main square of the city of Siena. Unique for its particular and original shell shape, it is renowned throughout the world for its beauty and architectural integrity, as well as for being the place where the Palio di Siena takes place twice a year. For an ancient convention, the square and the Palazzo Pubblico do not belong to any contrada.

REQUIREMENTS TO LOG THE VIRTUAL CACHE
The coordinates of this virtual cache take you to one of the points where you can better observe the phases of the Palio of Siena: a) la Mossa (the start), b) the curve of S.Martino, c) the curve of Casato. To be able to log the cache you must perform the following tasks:
1) Count the columns that you found in Piazza del Campo: BE CAREFUL, THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF THEM (Photo 1 and Photo 2) AND YOU HAVE TO COUNT BOTH. Send me the answer in private. You can go wrong with a margin of +2 or -2. Photos of you counting the columns are welcome (but not required in order to log the cache).
2) Take a selfie with the Torre del Mangia in one of the two positions seen in the example: inside the Entrone (Photo 3 and Photo 4), which however is not always open; from Gavinone (Photo 5 and Photo 6). Publish the photos in your log.
You can log the cache by sending the answer to point 1) at the same time. Logs that do not meet the requirements will be deleted.
