Välkommen till Sveriges högst belägna byggnad!
Den nya toppstugan uppfördes somrarna 2015 och 2016 på 2040 meters höjd. Den har lyfts upp i bitar med helikopter och är byggd i korslimmat trä, som är hyvlade bräder som limmats ihop som kryssfanér för att motstå vatteninträngning. Byggnaden har en profil som en pentagon och står med avstånd till marken på betongplintar. Den är inte avsedd för övernattning och saknar uppvärmningsanordning för att undvika brand. Det finns plats för 21 personer i utrymmet på 20 kvadratmeter. Byggnaden är 9 meter lång och 4,5 meter bred. Långsidan som vetter ned mot dalen samt i gavel mittemot ingångsdörren har fönster.
Cachen
Denna virtuella cache placerades ut 2020-07-24 vilket är exakt 10 år efter det att jag loggade min första cache på Visingsö (mitt i Vättern). Jag har sedan 2010 loggat mer än 24000 cacher i 35 länder och älskar denna hobby. Denna cache är placerad på en av mina favoritplatser i Sverige ditt jag återvänder så ofta jag har möjlighet. Jag hoppas att du ska uppskatta platsen like mycket som jag gör!

Welcome to Sweden's highest placed building!
The new top cabin was built in the summers of 2015 and 2016 at a height of 2040 meters. It has been lifted into pieces by helicopter and is built of cross-glued wood, which is planed boards that are glued together as plywood to resist water ingress. The building has a profile like a pentagon and stands at a distance from the ground on concrete blocks. It is not intended for overnight stays and lacks a heating device to avoid fire. There is room for 21 people in the space of 20 square meters. The building is 9 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. The long side that faces the valley as well as in the gable opposite the entrance door has windows.
This Cache
This virtual cache was placed 2020-07-24, which is exactly 10 years after I logged my first cache on Visingsö (in the middle of Lake Vättern). Since 2010 I have logged more than 24000 caches in 35 countries and I just love this hobby. This cache is located in one of my favorite places in Sweden and I am here as often as I can. I hope you will enjoy this place as much as I do!
Logging
To log this virtual cache as a found you need to do the following: Take a photo, e.g. from the coordinates, with the top cabin in the picture together with your geocaching name and the date of your visit. Attach the picture to your log.
