Geocache Description:

Located on Reigate Hill, amongst trees. The climb is a bit of a challenge, but short. Easy car parking very nearby. Upgraded to terrain 3+ following comments from two experienced cachers.

This cache is hidden principly for the challenge and not so much the location, being something a regular M25 commuter could hunt out in passing (though not in smart dress). Your nearest car park is very close, being just a few hundred metres south of J8 of the M25 (A217).

However, caught at the right time on the right day (choose to arrive at the car park to arrive for dawn or dusk), the view can be remarkable. (See The View from Reigate Hill for more details.)

The cache needs some searching, and the route to it is not by any means direct. WARNING: You may encounter some rusty iron fence railings or - where these are missing - a very steep and potentially dangerous drop. The direct approach is NOT advised. Although only about one tenth of a mile from the car-park (at 51:15.35N 0:11.50W) as the crow flies, this is not an easy find, and unfortunately because of its proximity you may encounter the odd piece of litter or other garbage. It should not be considered appropriate for small kids as whilst the climb is only short, it is also treacherous, even by the indirect approach. Tree cover makes tracking patchy - at the site of the cache the view of the sky is clear enough only for a fix +/- 35 feet. The cache container is a clear food storer with white lid, with a couple of silica gel sachets taped inside (another reason for not encouraging tots), and contains a disposable camera as well as the obligatory log book and a couple of pens. Please do not use stickers or place commercial solicitations in this cache either in the log or when trading.

The original trove is as follows:
1) 9M-25F modem adapter (ok, so it's geeky, but I had several lying around)
2) A set of brown boot laces
3) A miniature humour book
4) An "Orange" (as in the 'phone company) promo beach ball (deflated, of course)
5) A Rammstein plectrum (from one of their Manchester gigs earlier this year)
and a couple of other items

Enjoy...
