GCZ Team invite everyone to a celebratory social evening at our local pub - welcome one and all! This is to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary which is a few days after the event!
Where:
Please come and join us in the Fox on the Causeway in Burwell - a large village close to the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border north of Newmarket and just off the A14. Our official base will be the restaurant room to the left of the main entrance door. There is also plenty of seating and a garden outside, so we may be able to spill out if the weather's good to us!
When:
We have arranged with the landlord to use the restaurant room (turn left after coming through the main front door) from 6.30-9.30pm on Monday 20 May (a few days before our Anniversary). Unfortunately, there will be NO FOOD available in the pub. We are sorry, but it does mean we have a big room all to ourselves, and it does have a bar. Also, there is an Indian takeaway/restaurant next door open from 5.30-10.30, a Chinese takeaway up the road, a kebab van by the post office, and a co-op nearby which opens till late.
What to do:
Come and stay for the whole evening or just pop in for a quick visit to say 'hello' and raise a glass! (No pressies!). And look out for a new cache in Burwell!
Parking:
There is a small car park at the side of the pub.
Just for interest - this is a view in the late 19th/early 20th century of the street just to the west of where the Fox pub is now. The building on the right is now the newsagents! (PS We weren't around that far back! LOL)
