The 43rd Dartmoor Bi-Monthly Midweek Event will take Place on Wednesday 22nd May 2019

The Forest Inn, Hexworthy from 7pm - 9pm
I organised the 28th event in this long running series and 14 events later I have that honour again. This location was intended to be the location of the 41st event in January 2019 however a snap of cold weather put paid to that. The road leading to the pub was a sheet of ice so the event was relocated to Yelverton. I am hoping that this will not happen in May (tempts fate massively!) and that geocachers from around the county make the trip to Hexworthy - just to reiterate every geocacher is welcome to attend this event whether they cache on Dartmoor or not.

When: From 7pm to 9pm (although the pub is open longer than this)
The pub has asked for an indication of who is eating to ensure that they can accommodate everyone without their kitchen being overrun. At present we are not being asked to pre-order so for now just include the number of people who intend to eat in your log entry.
You do not have to eat to attend the event.
A few reasons you may wish to attend:
- Socialise with geocachers from across Devon and beyond. The location has been chosen to encourage cachers from all parts of the county to attend.
- Enjoy a nice meal with friends (see the notes about food above)
- Pester cache owners for hints on some of their devious puzzles
- Purchase geocaching merchandise (I won't be bringing any but perhaps others will)
- Make a day of it and go for a walk on the moors
And finally, I will randomly choose a 'will attend' log posted not less than a week before the event and gift a small prize to the author. Don't wait until the last minute, tell fellow cachers you are coming to the event. There may be an opportunity to share transport.
